Are You Eligible For Our Scholarship?
Available to Students Entering First or Second Year Post-Secondary Studies
It is with great pleasure that the Center for Consumer Products, in conjunction with the Global Furniture Group, is pleased to offer a scholarship fund to honour of one of Canada’s greatest innovators, leaders and teachers, — Mr. Saul Feldberg.
Beginning in 2024 and for each of the next four years, students connected to the office products industry will be selected to receive one of five, $1000 awards in honour of Mr. Feldberg, who passed away January 2023 at the age of 87.
The Center for Consumer Products Scholarships are available to students entering first or second year post-secondary studies who work for or have worked for, or whose parent/guardian/grandparent works for a Center for Consumer Products member company. The complete qualification criteria can be found in the Criteria and Guidelines below.
2026 Scholarship Applications
The 2026 Program will begin accepting applications in May with a submission deadline of July 31, 2026. In 2025, the Scholarship Fund awarded five students $1,000 each.

Eligibility & Guidelines
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
Have worked for a period of at least six months in the previous 18 months or be a current employee of a Center for Consumer Products member company OR your parent/guardian or grandparent must be employed by a Center for Consumer Products member company
NOT be a previous recipient of the Center for Consumer Products Scholarship—repeat winners are not permitted, however, if you applied and was not selected as a winner, you may reapply.
Reside in Canada and be attending or enrolling in an approved Canadian college or university
Be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada (proof required, international students studying in Canada DO NOT qualify for the Center for Consumer Products Scholarship)
Have received a high school diploma within the last five years
First year applicants must have achieved an overall average of at least 80 percent in the final year of high school prior to graduation; second year applicants must have earned at least 75 percent in first year of college or university
Be enrolling in your first or second year of study at a university or college recognized by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (in the year of application), and must provide confirmation of your admission prior to receiving the scholarship
Application Requirements
A completed application must consists of:
The application questionnaire
A letter of employment from your employer or your parent/grandparent/guardian’s employer verifying your connection to a Center for Consumer Products member company
Proof of your Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident status
A copy of your official transcript or final grades for the past academic year showing your final mark percentages and grade point average (GPA)
First year students – A copy of your preliminary acceptance letter from college or university
Second year students – A copy of your tuition invoice
Award Structure
The number of scholarships and award amounts available may vary each year based on donations and funds raised in the previous year and as determined by the Center for Consumer Products Board of Directors.
Applicants selected as winners will be notified by the end of August in the application year. While we appreciate everyone’s efforts in making submissions to the Center for Consumer Products Scholarship Fund, only the winners will be contacted.

An employment confirmation letter from your employer, or your parent/guardian or grandparent’s employer
A copy of your official transcript for your last academic year
A copy of your proof of Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residence status
If you are a first year student, a copy of your preliminary acceptance letter from the college or university you will be attending or, if you are a second year student, a copy of your tuition invoice (if available)
Winner Selection Process
All qualifying applications that meet the minimum criteria will be placed in a ballot draw

Our 2025 Saul Feldberg Scholarship Winners
RYAN TRAN
Ryan is an outgoing member of his school’s life and hopes to bring an air of inclusivity everywhere he goes. He served as his school’s audiovisual team’s president and valedictorian. He consistently achieved a high academic standard while balancing numerous extracurricular activities like sports, bands, and school-life clubs. He graduated as an Ontario scholar and was given 4 special awards for his academic and extracurricular commitments. Ryan is starting his first year at the University of Toronto, supported by the Saul Feldberg Memorial Fund, and hopes to one day land a job as a back-end software engineer.
Daniel Ruffolo
I am an outgoing, dedicated, and ambitious student currently enrolled in the Engineering Science program at the University of Toronto where I hope to explore my passions for aerospace, mechanical, and automotive engineering. In high school, I was heavily involved in mental health advocacy, as I was a cofounder and president of the mental health committee. I also enjoyed teaching younger generations the value of sports through my countless hours of being a mentor and volunteer coach for the City of Vaughan Hockey Association.
In the future, I hope to stay involved in sports and mental health initiatives as I build a successful and meaningful engineering career. As an engineer, my goal is to innovate and have my innovations foster a lasting and positive impact on society. I aim to one day use my engineering skills to help make the world a better place, by making life safer and easier to enjoy for all.
SAM LANDON
My name is Sam Landon, I am a first year business student at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am from Toronto and have played soccer all my life. In the near future I hope to achieve a high gpa, at least a 10 on Lauriers 12 point scale. This will allow me to be considered for the co-op program. I also have been working on my applications for various business clubs at the school, these will help me to secure a better co-op placement when the time comes. Ultimately my goal is to graduate from Laurier and get a job in high finance.
Jada Wellon
I’m Jada Wellon, a biomedical student at Trent University in Peterborough. I’ve always been drawn to science and how it connects to helping people in the real world. Studying biomedical science as my undergraduate is my first step towards becoming a dentist, a career where I can combine my love for science with caring for others. Eventually I want to become an orthodontist because I love working with kids and want to make a positive impact on their lives by building confidence through their health and smiles! Receiving this scholarship encourages me to keep working hard towards my goals and reminds me of more opportunities ahead.
Makenna Murtagh
Hello! My name is Makenna Murtagh, I am 18 years old and currently in my first year at Queens University. I am studying Psychology through a Bachelors of Arts, in hopes to become a Sports Psychologist. Working with athletes is a big dream of mine since I have grown up playing sports and I’ve always been so interested in the mind. I eventually hope to open my own practice to help athletes work on their mentality in their sports!.
