Community Scholarships
The Center for Consumer Products is committed to investing in the futures of students connected to our member community. We are proud to offer two scholarship opportunities to help support individuals pursuing post-secondary education.
Saul Feldberg Scholarship
It is with great pleasure that the Center for Consumer Products, in conjunction with Global Furniture Group, is pleased to offer a scholarship fund to honour one of Canada’s greatest innovators, leaders and teachers, — Mr. Saul Feldberg.
Beginning in 2024 and for each of the next four years, students connected to the office products industry will be selected to receive one of five, $1,000 awards in honour of Mr. Feldberg, who passed away January 2023 at the age of 87.
The Saul Feldberg Scholarships are available to students who are attending post-secondary studies, and who work for, or whose parent/guardian/grandparent works for a Center for Consumer Products member company that manufacturers or sells products in the Workplace/Office Products industry. Vaughn Crofford Memorial Scholarship
The Center for Consumer Products is proud to offer the Vaughn Crofford Memorial Scholarship in support of students pursuing post-secondary education. This scholarship is open to individuals who are currently employed by, or are the child or grandchild of an employee of, a Center for Consumer Products member company.
Each year, two scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded to help recipients achieve their academic and career goals.
2026 Scholarship Applications
The 2026 Program will begin accepting applications in May with a submission deadline of July 31, 2026. Qualified applicants may enter either one or both scholarship opportunities.
In 2026, we will give away a total of 7 scholarships of $1,000 each consisting of 5 Saul Feldberg Scholarships (sponsored by Global Furniture) and 2 Vaughn Crofford Memorial Scholarships.

Eligibility & Guidelines
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
Have worked for a period of at least six months in the previous 18 months or be a current employee of a Center for Consumer Products member company OR your parent/guardian or grandparent must be employed by a Center for Consumer Products member company
NOT be a previous recipient of either the Center for Consumer Products Scholarship, or COPA or CHPTA. Repeat winners are not permitted, however, if you applied and was not selected as a winner, you may reapply
Reside in Canada and be attending or enrolling in an approved Canadian college or university
Be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada (proof required, international students studying in Canada DO NOT qualify for the Center for Consumer Products Scholarship)
Have received a high school diploma within the last six years
First year applicants must have achieved an overall average of at least 75 percent in the final year of high school prior to graduation; upper year applicants must have earned at least 60 percent average in your previous term of college or university
Be enrolling in a university or college recognized by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (in the year of application), and must provide confirmation of your full-time admission prior to receiving the scholarship
Qualified applicants may apply to both scholarships, however may only win one.

A letter of employment from your employer or your parent/grandparent/guardian’s employer verifying your connection to a Center for Consumer Products member company
Proof of your Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident status
A copy of your official transcript or final grades for the past academic year showin:
– First year applicants must have achieved an overall average of at least 75 percent in the final year of high school prior to graduation
– Upper year applicants must have earned at least 60 percent average in your previous term of college or university
First year students – A copy of your preliminary acceptance letter from college or university
Upper year students – A copy of your tuition invoice
Award Structure
The number of scholarships and award amounts available may vary each year based on donations and funds raised in the previous year and as determined by the Center for Consumer Products.
Applicants selected as winners will be notified by the end of August in the application year. While we appreciate everyone’s efforts in making submissions to the Center for Consumer Products Scholarship Fund, only the winners will be contacted.

An employment confirmation letter from your employer, or your parent/guardian or grandparent’s employer
A copy of your official transcript for your last academic year
A copy of your proof of Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residence status
If you are a first year student, a copy of your preliminary acceptance letter from the college or university you will be attending or, if you are an upper year student, a copy of your tuition invoice (if available)
Winner Selection Process
All qualifying applications that meet the minimum criteria will be placed in a ballot draw

My name is Aaron Jin, and I am a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Toronto. In the future, I would like to be able to work in a field involving design work with vehicles like automotive or aerospace, as I’ve always had an interest in those two and have enjoyed solving problems arising from them.
I want to obtain my Professional Engineer designation in the future and build a career where I can design innovative and efficient mechanical solutions. I want to be able to make a meaningful contribution to society and be able to help solve more issues than just technical or mechanical ones.

My name is Chelsea Garcia, and I am about to start my first year at Queen’s University for Concurrent Education. I specifically hope to teach English and History. I enjoy being active and playing sports; I played all four years on the field hockey and soccer teams at Nelson High School.
In the future, I hope to become a high school teacher and create an environment where students feel accepted and valued. I am seeking a stable position where I can contribute to the school community by running clubs and coaching sports teams. In my personal life, I aspire to travel around the world and even explore teaching options in other countries.

Hello! My name is Liam, and I am currently studying Political Science and Sociology at the University of Guelph. I hope to go to law school after I finish my degree and eventually become a family lawyer. This summer, I’ve had the chance to work as a summer student at a family law firm, which has made me even more interested in the field.
I really enjoy the idea of helping families through difficult situations, and after practicing family law for a while, I hope to become a family mediator and arbitrator. Eventually, I would love to build a career where I can help people work through conflicts and find fair solutions.

I’m Sierra Spence, and I’ll be starting my nursing degree at Trent University in Peterborough. I chose nursing because I wanted a career where I could work with others, help people, and build meaningful connections with the patients I care for. I’m excited to learn new skills, gain experience, and see where nursing takes me in the future.
I hope to specialize in pediatrics and go back to school after my undergraduate degree to eventually become a nurse practitioner. This scholarship is very much appreciated and will help support me as I begin this next chapter and work towards becoming a nurse. Thank you once again!

My name is Yasmeen, and I recently graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Family Studies and Human Development, with a minor in Psychology. I am continuing my education in the Master of Psychotherapy program at the University of Guelph, where I hope to develop the knowledge and skills needed to support individuals, couples, and families through therapy.
In the future, I hope to become a psychotherapist and provide relational and systemic care that recognizes the ways people’s experiences are shaped by their relationships, families, communities, and broader social contexts.
